The Ibbs Consulting Group was founded in 1992 by Professor William Ibbs. His team uses Dr. Ibbs' research to provide unique, practical, reliable solutions to his clients.
About Dr. William Ibbs
Dr. William Ibbs is the founder and leader of The Ibbs Consulting Group. He teaches construction management and accounting concepts at UC Berkeley, and is recognized as a leading thinker and testifying expert on various construction matters, including productivity and scheduling.
Dr. Ibbs has served as an expert witness and project neutral, qualifying to testify in federal and state courts, and international arbitration. His specialty is change and its impact on labor productivity, including cumulative impact conditions. He has also testified on construction defects, accounting, loss of economic value, personal injury, and takeover matters.
He has conducted research work for the Construction Industry Institute, US Army Corps of Engineers, Caltrans, and other sponsors.
Professor Ibbs has received recognition and awards from various professional organizations.
Dr. Ibbs has published over 180 articles on the subject of construction management and has also participated in panels for the National Academy of Engineers and the National Science Foundation. He researched for the Corps of Engineers, Caltrans, and numerous other organizations.
Dr. Ibbs earned B.S. and M.S. degrees from Carnegie Mellon University and a Ph.D. from U.C. Berkeley, all in civil engineering with a construction management emphasis. He has minors in accounting and finance.
